Mark Obie Tolbert

Mark Obie Tolbert, age 62, of Greensboro, GA passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional.  Born on April 20, 1960, Mark was the son of the late Harold Edward Tolbert and Ruth Annette Norman Tolbert. He was a graduate of Nathanael Greene Academy in 1980.  Upon graduation, Mark went to work for Wellington Puritan in Greensboro and then he worked for Chipman Union until they closed.  In addition to his work at Chipman Union he was also working for Corner Bottle and continued his work there for twenty years until June of 2013. Not only did he love Georgia football, he enjoyed watching any football.  He also enjoyed his time on social media. Mark was a member of Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church. 

Mark is survived by two sisters, Carol Tolbert and Sandra Tolbert, both of Greensboro; uncles, Roger Norman of Greensboro and Wayne Norman (Kathy) of Lexington, GA; other relatives and many friends.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church, 2830 Highway 15 South, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Pastor Josh Lindsey officiating.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
