Lois (Mize) Merritt

Lois Mize Merritt, of Stockbridge, GA formerly of Greensboro, GA, died on Friday, August 14, 2020, at PruittHealth-Laurel Park in Stockbridge at the age of 76. Born in Greensboro on May 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Rollin Goodman Mize and Odelle Marlowe Mize.  She graduated from Greensboro High School.  For many years she worked in shipping at Mary Leila Cotton Mill and also at NIBCO.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family and always enjoyed cooking for them.  Lois was a member of West End Baptist Church in Greensboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Merritt and brothers, Euel Mize and Rollin Mize. Lois is survived by her sons, Richard Boivin (Sherri), Donald Boivin and Robert Boivin; daughter, Linda Geldart (Richard); eight grandchildren; sister Joann Vandiver (Louie); a number of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM. at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
