Lloyd K. Kern

Lloyd K. Kern, 76, of West Palm Beach Florida died Tuesday, October 29, 2002 in Greensboro. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2002 at Parkway Garden Chapel in Forest Park, Georgia with Rev. Gary Lewis of Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park & Garden of Christ in Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Kern of West Palm Beach, FL; four children, Sheila Renfro of Greensboro, GA, Pamela Copeland of Jonesboro, GA, Shirley Holland of Arizona, Steve Kern of Arizona; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Mr. & Mrs. Kern have lived in West Palm Beach for the past 32 years, but formally lived in Clayton County and were members of the Emanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Kern was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God in West Palm Beach, Elks Lodge of West Palm Beach, Green Acres Moose Lodge, American Legion, and a U.S. Army veteran.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. at Parkway Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Lloyd K. Kern to St. Mary''s Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604.
