Linda Freeman Phlegar, 57, of Greensboro, GA, died April 27, 2004 at her residence. She was born on Parris Island, SC on August 31, 1946 to the late Harry Norment Freeman Jr. and Frances Ferguson Freeman of Beaufort, SC. She was a graduate of Palmer College in Charleston, SC and had been an administrative assistant with the United States Government for 27 1/2 years, retiring in 1995. She had lived in Greensboro for the last 6 years where she served as the secretary of Salem Plantation Homeowners Association for 3 years and treasurer of the Old Salem Volunteer Fire Department for 2 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her loving husband, Harvey A. Phlegar of Greensboro, GA; two stepsons, Paul Phlegar of Lawrenceville, GA and Andy Phlegar of Kennesaw, GA; a brother, Buddy Freeman of Conway, SC; five grandchildren, Kyle Phlegar, Lainey Phlegar, Jordyn Phlegar, Daniel Phlegar and Leann Phlegar; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro with Rev. Richard Chewning officiating.
