Linda Lee (Morrisey) McGlynn

Linda Lee Morrisey McGlynn, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens  Georgia after a battle over the past year with several illnesses. A native of Middle Village, Long Island, NY, Linda was born on September 23, 1947, to the late William Morrisey and Millie Tomasovic Morrisey. She was a graduate of Manhasset High School and received her Accounting degree from Brookdale Community College. She married Charles James McGlynn in May 1968 in Manhasset, NY, and they raised a son and a daughter. Linda served as a Humane Educator for the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in Palm City, Florida.

In addition to her husband, Chuck McGlynn and her 7th dog Molly, she is survived by her daughter, Kelly Ann Slavitt; son, Shawn Patrick McGlynn; and grandchildren, Connor McGlynn of Salt Lake City, UT; and Liam and Millie Slavitt, both of Scarsdale, NY. She also leaves behind other relatives and many friends she made over the years. Linda was preceded in death by her brother, William Morrisey.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in Palm City, Florida, 34990.
