Linda Sue (Irwin) Cook

Linda Sue Irwin Cook, a resident of Greensboro, Georgia, for forty-three years, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at her home at the age of 73. Born on May 3, 1952, in Greenville, Ohio, Linda was the daughter of the late Donald Lowell Irwin and Ethel Arleen Hollinger Irwin. She grew up in Greenville and was a graduate of Greenville High School. Linda was a dedicated administrative assistant for Spartec and also worked cleaning houses. She found joy in gardening, watching the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, and Georgia Bulldogs, and relaxing with Hallmark movies. Spending quality time with her family, both in Georgia and Ohio, was one of her greatest priorities.

Linda’s loving family includes her two sons and their wives: Dusty Laux and Allison of Watkinsville, GA, and Joey Laux and Amy of Greensboro, GA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jonah Laux and Sam Laux of Watkinsville, GA; Allie Laux and Kenzie Laux of Greensboro, GA; and Cammie Jenkins and her husband Noah of White Plains, GA. Linda was also a proud great-grandmother to Aiden, Brody, Addison, Aubree, Ansley, and Beau Benkoski, all of Greensboro, GA, and Whitlee, Lakelyn, and Emerson Jenkins, all of White Plains, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Bain and her husband Jimmy of Greenville, Ohio, and her brother, Joby Hollinger and his wife Rocksand of Greenville, Ohio, along with many other relatives and friends.
