Lillian Maxine Garmatz Blosser, age 82, of White Plains, GA, died Thursday, May 26, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 27, 1938 in Pipestone, MN to the late Hilbert Edward Garmatz and Esther Marie (Thomas) Garmatz. She graduated from Evanston Township High School in Evanston, IL. Earlier in her working career she worked for Waddell and Reed Insurance Company, but spent most of her time as a homemaker raising her two sons. She married Edward D. Blosser on June 14, 1958 and at the time of her death they had been married nearly sixty-three years. They built their home on Lake Oconee in 1998 and made it their permanent home in 2001 moving from Suwanee, GA. Lillian was a founding member of Lake Oconee Lutheran Church. She very much enjoyed worshiping and singing at her church, socializing with her many friends, reading, watching TV, and quilting as a member of the Quilters Guild for many years.
Survivors include her husband Edward Blosser of White Plains, GA; two sons, Edward William Blosser (Tammy) of Lawrenceville, GA and Michael John Blosser (Joanie) of Naperville, IL; one sister, Cindy Ann Brueck; six grandchildren, Kristen Blosser, Jacob Blosser, Rachael Blosser, Desiree' Blosser, Cassie Blosser, and Grace Blosser, and one great grandchild, Derek Blosser.
The family will hold a Memorial Service at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 19th 2021 at 2pm in celebration of Lillian’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 950 East Paces Ferry Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30326. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
