Lila Jo (Patrick) Evans

Lila Jo Evans of Buckhead, GA passed away Monday, March  13, 2023 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, GA at the age of 84. Born July 16, 1938 in Monticello, GA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mae Lucindy Arwood Patrick. She attended school in Buckhead and received an Associate Degree in Atlanta. Over her working career, she worked numerous jobs retiring from Wellington Puritan Mills in Madison as an order clerk. She was a woman of great faith in God and strived to live her life in the way He would have her to live.  She had attended Buckhead Holiness Church, but more recently, as long as her health permitted, she was attending Lake Oconee Baptist.  Being outside in her flower garden where it was quiet and she could enjoy God’s nature gave her much peace.   
 
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Evans of Buckhead, GA; a son, Ted “Butch” Evans, Jr.; grandchildren,Jessica Evans, Ashlie Evans, Bethany Evans; great grandchild, Leighton and Madilynn; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Evans in 2004.
