Lehman "Bobby" Duvall Obituary

Lehman Lamar “Bobby” Duvall of Greensboro, GA passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.  Born February 17, 1939 in Greshamville, Bobby was one of four children born to the late Lehman Lake and Lois Harwood Duvall.  He graduated from Greensboro High School and attended classes at the University of Georgia Extension Service.  A lifelong resident of Greensboro he worked for the City of Greensboro for 44 years as their Superintendent of Utilities.  He was also a Lieutenant for the Greensboro Fire Department for 54 years.  On March 14, 1962 he married Linda Channell of Greensboro.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro which he loved along with his church family. Bobby influenced the lives of many friends and families with his ethics for hard work and dependability. He was very community minded. It was nothing for him to cook a BBQ for many local organizations.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing tomatoes and playing with his four grandsons.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, Linda Duvall of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by his daughter, Donna Duvall Wood (Heath) of Greensboro, GA; son, Robert L. Duvall (Erin) of Greensboro, GA; sister Ann Colclough of Watkinsville, GA; brothers, Edward Duvall (Betty) of Colbert, GA and Cecil Duvall (Jo-Ann) of Marietta, GA; grandsons, Benjamin Lehman Wood, Christian Elijah Wood, Caleb Heath Wood and Peyton Lake Duvall; brother and sister-in-law Frank Don and Shirley Channell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
