Larry Gerald Short, Sr.

Larry Gerald Short, Sr., age 72 of White Plains, GA passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at his daughter’s residence with his loved ones.  He was born on March 25, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas.  Larry was the son of the late William Earl Short and Wilma Rutledge Short.  He was married to the former Cynthia Ramnath for 22 years.  They married December 20, 1998.  Larry graduated from Paragould High School.  After many years with Ball Continental Can as the Sales and Service Representative he moved in to start his own business known as Ready Manufacturing Inc. He designed and manufactured agricultural equipment.  He retired from that in 2006.  After retirement  they moved to White Plains, GA. As long as health permitted Larry attended Cornerstone Christian Church in Madison, GA.  His many interests included  fishing, riding his bicycle and watching westerns.  He also enjoyed working on projects around the house.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 

Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father,William and Wilma Short, and his brother, Cecil Short.  He is survived by his wife Cynthia Short of White Plains, GA; sister, Annette Caldwell Binkley of Nashville, TN; son, Larry Short, Jr. (Brittany) of Milledgeville, GA; daughters, Katherine  Aileen “Katie” Short Barcenas (Rolando Barcenas) of Greensboro, GA and Lorie Alyse Haby (Edward Joseph) of  Castroville, TX; seven grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
