Kerry Matthew White

Kerry Matthew White of Evans, GA formerly of Penfield, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in Evans, GA at the age of 31.  Kerry was born March 12, 1990 in Milledgeville, GA to Michael John White, Jr. and Cheryl Mary Durrant White.  Kerry attended Greene County High School where he was a member of ROTC and graduated from Athens Technical Career Academy High School.  Kerry graduated from Athens Tech with an AA degree as Information Technology Specialist; he worked for Greene Schools as an IT specialist and for many years worked for Columbia County Schools as a IT specialist. Kerry had many hobbies and talents but he had a passion for computers.  From the age of eight he was building computers from scratch.     

In addition to his parents, Michael and Cheryl White of Penfield, GA, he is survived by a half-sister, Christine White (Adam Murray ) and son Emrys, maternal grandparents, Gerald and Shirley Durrant; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Michael John White, Sr. and Agatha White.

Memorial Services to celebrate Kerry’s life will be held Saturday June 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm. at Penfield Presbyterian Church, Penfield, GA with Rev. Bryant Miller officiating.

The family requests that any memorials be made in Kerry Matthew White’s memory to the Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Rd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.
