Juanita Smith Mize of Woodville, GA, age 93, died on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Greene Point Health Care and Rehabilitation. Juanita was born in Greensboro, GA on November 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Henry Curtis Smith and Martha Magdalene Yarborough Smith. Juanita attended grammar school in Buckhead and high school in Winterville. She married Lester Mize who preceded her in death in 2017. Her working career included being an inspector for Style Rite in Woodville and working for Flowers, Inc. She was a member of Woodville Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ann Clements and husband Donald of White Plains, GA; two sons, John Wayne Mize and wife Joan of Union Point, GA and Jimmy Lee Mize and wife June of Demorest, GA; six grandchildren, Becky Clements Doss (Spencer), Mitch Mize, Justin Mize, Zach Mize (Jessica), Bobby Joe Mize and Stephanie Corrigan (David); four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Joe Mize and her sister, Inez Casper.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 West Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Phil Prim officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Woodville Cemetery. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
