Joyce Hulda (Atkinson) Higdon

Joyce Hulda Atkinson Higdon, age 89, of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro. Born on November 19, 1930 in Greene County she was the daughter of the late Sylvanus Landrum Atkinson and Viola Dolvin Atkinson. She graduated from school in Siloam, GA and for a while worked at a bank and some of the local stores in Greensboro. She married Harvey Thomas Higdon on January 6, 1951. Joyce was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.  She was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harvey Higdon and her sister, Hilda Glass.  She is survived by her only son, Tim Higdon of Greensboro, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
