Joseph "Bootsie" Lewis

Joseph Dustin “Bootsie” Lewis of Woodville, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Greene Point Health and Rehabilitation in Union Point, GA at the age of 51.  Joey was born in Athens, GA on November 29, 1970 to Linda Vandiver Hutto of Eatonton, GA and the late James David Lewis III.  Joey attended Greene/Taliaferro County High School.  He was an excellent mechanic working on trucks and cars and had been working for J. Hall Automotive Service, LLC in Woodville, GA.  Some of his other interests included hunting and fishing.  

He was preceded in death by his father, James David “Jimmy” Lewis III.  He is survived by his mother, Linda Hutto (Ronnie Daniel) of Eatonton, GA; his sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Jeff Eley of White Plains, GA; brother and sister-in-law, John and Rhonda Lewis of Cartersville, GA; children, Tyler Lewis, Trevor Lewis, Taylor Lewis, Skie Lewis and Katie Leach; his special friends, Julie Williams of Woodville, GA and Jarvis Hall of Woodville, GA; nieces and nephew, Madison Lewis, Haley Sage and Garrett Butts; great nieces, Penelope and Braelynn; other relatives and many friends.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday, March 18, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.  Serving as pallbearers are Jarvis Hall, Ricky Johnson, Jon Clifton, Kenny Kellum, Keith Leach and Orlando Springer.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
