Jonathan Deveron “Dink” Dominy passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA where he was living with his brother Jay. A lifelong resident of Greene County, Dink was born March 15, 1951, in Greensboro. He was the son of the late Joseph Carlan Dominy and Jewel Taylor Dominy. Dink graduated from Greene County High School. Most of his working career he was a truck driver and recently drove for Plains Logging Company. He married the former Sandra Smith from Madison, GA. He lived in Greensboro, GA and was a member of Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed sitting on his porch reading, eating out and being with his family. He loved to cut up with others and will truly be missed.
Dink was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Dominy; his sons, Shannon Heath and Micheal Shane Dominy as well as his parents, Carl and Jewel Dominy; brothers, Jeffrey Carlton Dominy and Joseph Bradley Dominy and sister, Jendra Dominy Jeter. Survivors include his brother, Jay Stephen Dominy; a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Tabler and Rev. Josh Lindsey officiating.
