Joe Marvin Foster

Joe Marvin Foster, age 64, of Siloam GA, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025. He was born in Augusta, GA on April 12, 1960, to the late Marvin Chester Foster and Allene Carolyn Moon Foster. He was a 1979 graduate of Greene County High School. Joe was the owner and operator of Foster’s Heating and Air. Before beginning his business, he worked at NIBCO. On August 25, 1983, he married the former Dianne Jordan, and they attended Lakeside Church. Joe was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He also enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks. Joe loved to dance and was known as “Disco Joe" in high school. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, Dianne Foster, Joe is survived by his daughter, JoAnna Foster Gunn (Steven) of Athens, GA; son, Jordan Foster of Athens, GA; brother, Ray Foster (Jan) of White Plains, GA; sisters, Elaine Foster Standard (Haynes) of Greensboro, GA and Doris Foster Ingram (Bennie) of Monroe, GA; grandchildren, Riley Jo Foster, Jace Channell, and Zerah Carolina Gunn; brother-in-law, Mark Jordan and a host of other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Foster and his mother and father-in-law, Zerah and Dub Jordan.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street Greensboro, GA  30642 with Rev. Lem Clark officiating.
