Joaquin Ignacio Heng

Dr. Joaquin “Rocky” Ignacio Heng, age 65, of Greensboro, Georgia (previously Wheaton, Illinois) passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2025, after living a life richly rooted in faith, love, and kindness. He is survived by his beloved wife Annette Cannata Heng; cherished father of Angelica Heng (Alexander Nunez) and Olivia Phillips (Travis Phillips); loving brother of sister Aurora Heng (Larry Dziurdzik); and nurturing son of Joaquin Heng. He is preceded by his mother, Lary Heng. He will be deeply missed by all.

He was a devoted husband, father, friend, and physician. When he wasn’t seeing patients, he was cheering on the Chicago Cubs, volunteering at the humane society, or trying to convince Annette to get a pet pig.

Known for his unwavering gentle nature and strength, he made a friend everywhere he went and touched the lives of everyone around him. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and warmth.

GEORGIA ARRANGEMENTS:

A funeral mass will be held at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at 2pm. The mass will be live streamed on the Church website. Please scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and click on “Live Stream” https://www.cokas.org/

ILLINOIS ARRANGEMENTS:

A prayer service will be held at Queen of Heaven on Monday, March 24th, 2025 at 2pm.
