JoAnn (Murphy) Faerber

JoAnn Murphy Faerber, age 89, of Roswell, GA formerly of Great Waters in Eatonton, GA passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.  JoAnn was born in Saint Louis, MO on August 27, 1931 the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Genevieve May Morris. She graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Academy and on April 15, 1951 she married John Joseph Faerber.  She was a homemaker who was an excellent seamstress and along with her husband raised six children.  She was a longtime  member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro, GA.  JoAnn was a wonderful, wife, mother and grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Survivors include her six children, Catherine Craig (James) of Brighton, MI, Michael Faerber (LuAnn) of Moorpark, CA, Dr. Gary Faerber (Dr. Kathleen Cooney) of Durham, NC, MaryJo Lum (Randy) of Goleta, CA, Mark Faerber (Babette) of Alpharetta, GA, and Jeanne Larson (Rob) of Dallas, TX; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Faerber, sister, Patricia Uxa and brothers, Robert Murphy and Richard Murphy.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Father Michael Silloway officiating.  The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the church’s Sacred Heart Social Hall.  Donations may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society c/o Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA 30642.  A visitation will be held at McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary at 6 p.m.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
