Janet (Weatherford) Webb

Deborah Janet Weatherford Webb, a lifelong resident of  Greensboro, Georgia passed away July 12, 2023 at her residence at the age of 72. Janet was born March 17, 1951 to Johnnie Chapman Weatherford and Easter E. Marcus Weatherford in Madison, GA.  She graduated from Greene County High School in 1969. On November 27, 1969 she married William Jack “Billy” Webb, Sr. Janet and Billy went on to have two children, Selena Porterfield of Greensboro, GA and William Jack Webb, Jr. of Greensboro, GA. Most of her working career was spent at Nibco as a Tool Crib Attendant.  After she retired she enjoyed being at home, spending time with her family and friends and her cat, Callie.  She was a member of Robinson Baptist Church in Robinson, GA.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband William Jack “Billy” Webb Sr., her father Johnnie Chapman Weatherford, her mother Easter E. Weatherford, and her sister Joyce Wilson.  She is survived by her daughter Selena Webb Porterfield (Jamie) of Greensboro, GA; son William Jack “Bill” Webb Jr. (Mary Ann)  of Greensboro, GA; brother, Charlie Weatherford (Keitha); grandchildren, Breanna Coffman (Phillip), John Edward Coffman, Jr. (Rose), Ellie Webb (Zach), J D Webb, Abbie Webb and Madison Porterfield; and many friends.

Services will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Mark Yearwood officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33601.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
