Jamie Lamar “Bobo” Marchman of Greensboro, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his home with his loved ones. He was 75. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born in White Plains on July 5, 1949. He was the son of the late Edward James Marchman and Jesse Faye Underwood Marchman. Jamie proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Purple Heart. On October 19, 1973, he married the former Joan Marie Osley and at the time of his death they had been married fifty-one years. For twenty-five years he worked for NIBCO in Greensboro as the Process Manager. Then he worked for Wilhoit Gas Company servicing and installing propane tanks for ten years. Fishing was his favorite pastime.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Joan Marchman of Greensboro, GA; sons, Chris Marchman and fiance’ Dawn Salmon, and Scott Marchman and wife Heather; daughter Tammy Richardson and husband Mike; brother, Franklin Lee “Flee” Marchman; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends. Preceding him in death was his brother, Billy Wayne Marchman, Sr. and sister, Diane Marchman Wheeler.
