James Micheal Ellison

James Micheal Ellison Il of Greensboro, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional with his loved ones by his side. He was 55.  Micheal was born in Greensboro, GA on January 4, 1969 to the late James Michael "Mickey" Ellison and Diane Higdon Womack. Micheal attended Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He then began his own landscaping and maintenance business where he was the owner and operator of Greenescapes. Micheal never met a stranger and could always be found telling stories, laughing, and joking with those he met. The Georgia Bulldogs, guns, cooking, fishing, and traveling were some of the many things he enjoyed. Micheal was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro.
 
Survivors include his fiancee, Allison Bradford of Greensboro, GA; sister, Robin Ellison Smith and her husband Lane of White Plains, GA; a number of other relatives, and many friends.  In addition to his parents, Micheal was preceded in death by his younger brother, Dan Ellison. Micheal will be greatly missed by all those that knew him. 
 
The family will have a Celebration of Micheal's Life on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the home of his Aunt and Uncle, Carol and Ceils Merritt, 3391 Liberty Church Road, White Plains, GA 30678 with Josh Lindsey officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
