James Reynolds Obituary

James William “Jim” Reynolds of Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia, died on Sunday, July 9, 2006. Son of the late Edwin Reynolds and Ellen Hueber Reynolds, Jim was born on November 2, 1940, in Bergen County, New Jersey. He graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, NJ in 1957, and attended Fairleigh Dickenson University in New Jersey. He served in the United States Army for two years after high school and was later called back during the Berlin Crisis. For many years he set up computer systems for Grand Union Company, NCR, and AT&T retiring in 1993. Jim was actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Ministries, helped start Habitat for Humanity in Greene County, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. He and his wife of 45 years, Jeanne, had lived in Greensboro for the past seven. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Sand Reynolds, of Greensboro, GA; a daughter, Wendy Green and husband Christopher of New Hudson, MI; two sons, Gary Reynolds of Bellingham, WA and Robert Reynolds and wife Colleen of Exton, PA; two brothers, Edwin Reynolds and wife Sharon of Milford, PA and Richard Reynolds and partner Yoli of Kalispell, MT; six grand children, Jacob Green, Rachel Green, Paige Green, Kyle Reynolds, Noel Reynolds and Hope Reynolds; and a host of other friends and relatives. Services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro, 202 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, with the Rev. Richard Chewning officiating. Family and friends will be received afterward in the church’s Family Life Center. The family requests that any memorials may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Ministries, P.O.
