James Lee Jorgenson, a resident of Greensboro, GA, and formerly of Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at The Haven at Lake Oconee. He was 79 years old. Born in Montevideo, MN, on March 22, 1947, James was the son of the late Jesse and Amy Ulen Jorgenson. After graduating, he dedicated his career to public service, working as a machinist for the state of Oregon in defense. James moved to Greensboro to be closer to his daughters and was a man of faith who enjoyed attending church, reading the bible, and spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his three loving daughters: Tasha Lee Jorgenson of Madison, GA, Tiffany Allen, of Braselton, GA and Karmyn Costa of Vassalboro, ME. James was a loving grandfather to Jade Arbour, Owen Allen, and Clay Allen. He is also survived by his sister, Lois Bishop, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Jorgenson.
