Hillma Corine (Callaway) Anderson

Hillma Corine Anderson, of Eatonton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the age of 84, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. A native of Greensboro, GA, she was born on December 10, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Reuben Pierce Callaway and Edna Leona Bray Callaway. She was married to Bobby Anderson, who predeceased her in August 2005, during their time living in Madison. While residing in Madison, she attended Crossroads Community Church. Hillma served as the manager at Walmart in Madison. After her husband's passing, she relocated to Eatonton, GA, fifteen years ago.

Hillma was known for her caring, outgoing nature, and her sense of humor. Her favorite saying was, “It is what it is.” She was always considerate of others, maintaining a positive outlook and a friendly smile. Her early life was marked by modest beginnings and hard work, but she always made the best of every situation. Hillma held strong beliefs in faith and hard work, instilling these values in her children. Over the years, she enjoyed riding roller coasters and motorcycles, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Her survivors include nine children, whom she loved dearly and who were equally proud of her: Becky Townsend and her husband Steve, Pam Foust and her husband Terry, Jimmy McNair and his wife Rindi, Robbie Anderson and his wife Patti, Rhonda Bolton, David Anderson and his wife Joanna, Karen Brown and her husband Roy, Wade Anderson and his wife Donna, and Tyler Anderson. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Parks, Tonya Lewis and Tracy Smith; a brother, Jack Callaway; the love of her life, Robert (Bo) McElhannon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Trenia Callaway.
