Glenn Kendall Obituary

Glenn Robert Kendall, resident of Greensboro, GA died on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the age of 75.  He was born on April 20, 1947 to the late Robert Henry Kendall and Ethel Lillian Stumper. He graduated from Bernards High School in Bernardsville, NJ in 1965 where he played football. He earned his business degree from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC in 1969.  After college, Glenn proudly served his country for two years in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany.  On September 26, 1970 he married his high school sweetheart, Donna Jean Boyd. For over 30 years, he worked for Unilever, living in seven different states after working in various executive leadership roles. After his retirement in 2004, Glenn and Donna Jean settled in Greensboro where he enjoyed living on the lake. He loved golfing, traveling, music, fantasy football, fantasy golf, boating, and in recent years, hunting. He spent much of his pastime traveling with Donna Jean, spending time with his children and their families as well as serving as a member of Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church. He looked forward to spending summers at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Glenn was involved with Community Bible Study and enjoyed leading multiple small group bible studies with neighbors and friends. He served as Past President of the Men’s Golf Association at Harbor Club where he initiated a number of tournaments that still continue today in addition to being involved in various committees at Harbor Club. In recent years, he participated in the Sportsman Club at Del Webb. Glenn was intentionally generous, enjoyed entertaining, and grilling the perfect steak – medium rare. He laughed, he loved, he listened and he followed Jesus Christ. He led by example, was always planning the next trip and knew each day was a gift.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years; his children, Deborah Sabotka (Matt) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Pamela Speich (John) of Richmond, VA and Bobby Kendall (Jodi) of Portland, OR; his siblings, Wayne Kendall (Ginny) of Roswell, GA and Jeryl Anderson of Greensboro, GA; his grandchildren - Emma Jane, David, Lily, Timothy, Joey, Townes, and Lennox – and many other treasured relatives and treasured friends.
