Geraldine "Geri" (Mastrogiovanni) Anthony

Geraldine “Geri” Anthony, age 81, of Greensboro, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens GA. Born in Vineland, NJ on March 1, 1943, she was the only daughter along with two brothers of the late Carmen Charles and Dorothy Mastrogiovanni. She graduated from Miami Jackson High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Anthony on February 17, 1962. He preceded her in death in December of 2021 after fifty-nine years of marriage. She was a Real Estate agent and had a talent for interior decorating. After retiring September 1, 1999, they moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Greene County, where she has lived for the last twenty-five years. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three sons, James "Jim" Anthony, Todd David Anthony and his wife Bruna and Charles Quinton "Chuck" Anthony and his wife Katie; daughter-in-law, Terri Anthony; ten grandchildren, Mark Anthony, Jr. and his wife Jenn, Kristen Berger and her husband Jason, Brandee Anthony, Carson Anthony, Devyn Anthony, Courtney Anthony, Haylee Herrington and her husband Hunter, Quinton Anthony, Todd Anthony, Jr. and Charlie Anthony; three great grandchildren, Lily Berger, Colton Anthony and Lana Berger, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Anthony and brothers, Richard Mastrogiovanni and Charles Mastrogiovanni.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Long officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow the service at Anthony Farms Resting Place, 2696 Union Point Road, Maxeys, GA 30671.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Anthony, Todd Anthony, Chuck Anthony, Mark Anthony, Jr., Carson Anthony, Quinton Anthony, and Todd Anthony, Jr.  After the service the family will have a pasta dinner catered at the home of Terri Anthony next door to the cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be made to Anthony Farms Resting Place, 4581 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
