Geraldine (Cannon) Batchelor

Alice Geraldine Cannon Batchelor, of Greshamville, GA, passed away on January 14, 2022, at Madison Health and Rehab, in Madison, GA. She was born on July 14, 1941, to the late George Robert Cannon and Janie Mae Matthews Cannon, in Greene County.

Mrs. Batchelor was a lifelong resident of Greene County. She graduated from Greene County High School in 1959. In 1960, she married John Franklin (Frankie) Batchelor. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, in Greshamville, for many years. She spent most of her adult life working at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, as a lab and x-ray technician.

Mrs. Batchelor was preceded in death by husband, Frankie Batchelor; two sisters, Allean Cannon Jones, Patricia Cannon Brown Deason; and two nephews, Steven Cannon, Robbie Jones.

Mrs. Batchelor is survived by daughter, Angela (Greg) Driggers of St. Simons Island, GA; son, Harold (Lisa) Batchelor, of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren: Jacob Key, of Brunswick, GA; Melissa (Adam) LeClair, of Buford, GA; John (Hannah) Grubbs, of Clarksville, TN; Megan Driggers, of Rome, GA; Amanda (John Paul) Richardson, of Augusta, GA and Brayden Batchelor of Greensboro, GA; great grandchildren: Dustin Key, Madison Key, Gracelyn Key, Karleigh LeClair, IvyRae Grubbs; sister, Linda (Donald) Ogle, of Greensboro, GA; brother, Larry Cannon, of Oxford, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 2:00PM, at New Hope Baptist Church, 1400 Farmington Road, in Greshamville, GA with Reverend Mike Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until time of service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Key, John Grubbs, Mike Cannon, Adam Corry, David Corry and Brayden Batchelor.
