Gary Andre Wires

Gary Andre Wires, age 86, of Eatonton, GA died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro.  Born in Los Angeles, CA on September 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Andre Wires and Pearl Beal Wires.

Gary graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) receiving his Master’s Degree.  On August 28, 1976 he married the former Geri Machulak.  For twenty years he was an Aerospace Engineer for TRW, Inc. while living in California and later  worked in Real Estate Investments until 2000.  A little over five years ago they moved to Eatonton, GA from Palm Coast, FL.  He was a member of Grace Fellowship in Greensboro and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Geri Wires of Eatonton, GA; two children: Kari Wires and Brad Wires (wife Gina); two grandchildren, Lauren and Michael Wires; other relatives and many friends. 

The family will hold a celebration of his life on September 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship, 1971 Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with  Rev. Dr. Jimmy Long officiating.  They will receive friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time for the service.  The family requests any memorials be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, P.
