Franklin Curtis Batchelor

Franklin Curtis Batchelor, age 58, of Sparta, GA, died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Medical Center- Navicent Health in Macon. Born in Milledgeville, GA on April 3, 1962, he was the son of the late Jesse Franklin Batchelor and Helen Aquilla Marchman Batchelor. Curtis attended school in Sparta and Greene County.  He married the former Gloria Johnston on March 18, 1983. For many years he drove a truck for B B & J Logging in Milledgeville. Curtis particularly cherished time spent with his family and watching the Georgia football games.  He also enjoyed his work as a skidder driver.  He was a member of Culverton Baptist Church in Sparta, GA. 
   
In addition to his wife of thirty-six years, Gloria Batchelor of Sparta, GA, he is survived by his four children, Jonathan Curtis Batchelor and Brandi of Sparta, GA, Jessie Allen Batchelor (Brittany)  of Milledgeville, GA, Jessica Marshall (Daniel) of Sparta, GA and Justin Batchelor of Sparta, GA; two sisters, Peggy Gibby (Dean) of Commerce, GA and Denise Wilkerson of Sparta, GA; 7 grandchildren; a number of other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother, James William McKinley, Jr. 

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, 1020 Main Street, White Plains, GA 30678 with Rev. Dean Gibby officiating.
