Frank Damian Fatjo passed away at age 83, Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro. From College Point, New York, he had recently come to Greensboro, Georgia to live with his niece. Born February 23, 1938, in Manhattan, New York, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Nereida Esquilda Fatjo. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. During his working career he was a Supervisor for New York City Sanitation. He had a passion for being a drummer and played while he was in the Navy. He also played the clarinet in the Navy and loved listening to big band music. He would go down to the Village in NY to play drums on the weekends for bands. He really enjoyed watching anything about aliens on tv. Frank was a member of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, New York.
Survivors include his niece and her husband, Elizabeth Fatjo Cunningham and Eddie of Greensboro, GA and nephew and nieces, Charles Fatjo, Diane Fatjo, and Lorraine Fatjo. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lydia Fatjo, Angela Fatjo and Charles Fatjo all of New York.
