Frances Elizabeth (Bower) Weekly

Frances “Fran” Elizabeth Bower Weekly, age 83, of Greensboro, GA died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, GA. She was 83.  Born in Chillicothe, Ohio on November 8, 1931, she was one of seven children born to the late Hazel Clingman Bower and Alfred Bower. She grew up and attended school in Chillicothe, Ohio.  Frances married Edward Joseph Weekly, Sr. on October 27, 1950 in Obetz, Ohio. They moved from Pataskala, Ohio to  Greene County in 1972.  She was a homemaker most of her life, but after raising her three sons, she worked for Chipman Union in Union Point, where she retired in 1996.  She attended Voice of Pentecost Church in Covington, GA.  After retirement she enjoyed spending her time at yard sales and going to flea markets.

In addition to her husband, Edward J. Weekly, Sr. who preceded her in death in January of this year, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Warren Bower, John Bower, William Bower, Glenna Bower Howes, Dorothy Bower Laughlin and Joyce Bower Richard. She is survived by three sons, Terry Weekly of Panama City Beach, Florida, Mike Weekly (Billie Jean) of Greensboro, Georgia and Edward Weekly, Jr. (Linda) of Blairsville, Georgia; other relatives and many friends.  

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Callaway Funeral Home.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
