Florence Rivell Cooker, age 108, of Greensboro, GA, formerly of Lilburn, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. She was a resident of The Glen at Lake Oconee. She was born in Paulsboro, NJ on September 27, 1913, to the late Frank Weldon Rivell and Catherine Hendrickson Rivell. Florence married Melvin K. Cooker who preceded her in death. She received her LPN license and worked for Moccasin Bend Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Cooker was a longtime member of Mountain Park United Methodist Church in Stone Mountain, GA.
She is survived by her son, Melvin K. Cooker, Jr. and wife Hilda of Greensboro, GA; grandson, Robert Cooker and wife Rebecca of Harriman, TN; granddaughter, Kelli Morrow and husband Chris of Helena, AL; six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Rivell, Frank Rivell, Gill Rivell, and sister, Gladys Hess.
Graveside Services will be held in Clarksboro, NJ on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Eglington Cemetery and Memorial Gardens.
