Faye Leigh Melvin Berrong

Faye Leigh Melvin Berrong, age 83, of Chamblee, GA died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Odyssey Healthcare in Decatur, GA. She was born in Benton County, Arkansas on October 20, 1924 to the late Fred B. Melvin and Martha Melvin. She was a graduate of Cottondale Florida High School and a graduate of Business School in Marianna, FL. For 40 years she was an insurance agent for Middleton Fitzsimmons Insurance Agency. Until declining health prevented her attendance, she was an active member of Friendship/Ruth Sunday School Class and Northwoods Baptist Church in Chamblee, GA which later merged with Northeast Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Garnett "Jack" Berrong of Chamblee, GA; sister-in-law, Ruth Berrong of Lawrenceville, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery, Greensboro, GA with Rev. Fred Cox and Rev. Brian Wright officiating. The family requests that any memorials be made to Northeast Baptist Church, 4046 Chamblee-Tucker Road, Chamblee, GA 30341.
