Fannie Louise Twilley Dickens, age 61, of Madison, GA formerly of Union Point died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Center. A native of Greene County she was born on September 4, 1943 to the late Willie Greene Connell and Thelma Louise Norma Twilley North. She was a graduate of Greensboro High School and worked for Chipman Union in the sock factory, but left to stay at home with her daughter, Jan. She later worked for Vend Incorporated where she was a hostess, Budget Inn in Madison at the front desk and did clerical work for the Morgan County Citizen. Cooking was her favorite hobby and she loved feeding everybody.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice D. Dingler and husband Ricky of Union Point, GA; a dear friend, Donald Darr of Madison, GA; two sisters, Sarah Tapley of Macon, GA and June Marie Connell of Macon, GA; an aunt, Mary Raye of Greensboro, GA; two grandchildren, Bandi Dingler Morgan and husband Mac of Winston Salem, NC and Christopher Dingler of Union Point, GA and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jimmy Silvey and Fannie Marcus Silvey; and great grandparents, Ellis Marcus and Florie Harvey Marcus.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Ezell officiating.
