Evelyn Burnett Drane

Evelyn Burnett Drane, age 90, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Greensboro, Georgia, died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Lakeshore Villa Care Center. She was born in Arcadia, Florida on October 29, 1912 to the late Preston P. Burnett and Mary Margaret Koon Burnett. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro where she kept the nursery. Mrs. Drane had worked as the receptionist at McCommons Funeral Home for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Alphonso Roger "Al" Drane in September of 1993. She is survived by a sister, Mary B. Adams of San Diego, CA; a brother, Fred Burnett of Orlando, FL; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Union Point with Rev. Jimmy A. Long officiating. The family requests that any memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, 203 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
