Emily Speight

Emily Speight, age 82, of Eatonton, GA, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens. Emily was born on December 7, 1942, in Kingsport, TN, to the late Sanders Le Roy Speight, Jr., and Mary Peacock Speight. She earned her bachelor's degree from Georgia State University. She worked as a work center scheduler for Delta Airlines. Emily was a caring individual who always sought to help those she cared about. Her kindness and compassion toward others meant a great deal. Joining in the activities at The Harbor brought her much pleasure, especially playing bingo.

Survivors include numerous cousins and many friends at The Harbor, including her caretaker and best friend, Arlene Alford.
