Elizabeth "Izzi" Peters

Elizabeth "Izzi" Anne Peters, a resident of Carnesville, GA, passed away at the age of 38 on Friday, June 26, 2026, following an accident in Taliaferro County. Born on June 12, 1988, in Orlando, FL, to Timothy Scott and Deean Cowell Regan, Izzi dedicated her life to the service of others. After gaining her Georgia Addiction Counselors Association certification, she served as an Addiction Counselor at Penfield Addiction Ministries in Lavonia and Union Point, GA, where she provided vital support to those seeking recovery. She was a devoted wife to Joshua Alan Peters, whom she married on July 21, 2025, and an active member of both Southside Church in Commerce and Journey First Baptist Church in Lavonia, attending services weekly.

Izzi is survived by her parents, Tim and Deean Regan of New Port Richey, FL; her husband, Joshua Peters; and her two daughters, Olivia Regan and Raelynn Peters. Her memory will also be cherished by her brother, Andrew Craig Regan, his wife Alexandra, and their son Owen, as well as her beloved pets, Salem, Binx, and Panda. Beyond her family, she also leaves behind many women whose lives were profoundly touched and strengthened by her compassion and guidance during their recovery journeys, and she will never be forgotten for her love and kindness.

A service celebrating Elizabeth's life will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026 4:00 PM at Lakeside Church at Lake Oconee, located at 5800 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA, with Pastor Tim Regan officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626.
