Elizabeth Harris (Neely) Smith

Elizabeth Harris Neely "Babe" Smith, age 80, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her residence with her loving family. Born in Jackson, MS on March 16, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Carl Benjamin and Margaret Combs Harris Neely. She graduated from Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree. She married Randolph Ray “Randy” Smith and they had been married forty-nine years at the time of her death. For thirty years she was a proud teacher in Livonia, MI.  Twenty six years ago they relocated to Greensboro from Northville, MI.  Elizabeth was an avid golfer, loved bridge and playing games.  She also enjoyed music, dancing and a good cocktail.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Smith of Greensboro, GA; daughter, Wendy Stickel (David) of Michigan; son, Reade Smith (Mary) of Michigan; five grandchildren, Chase, Colin, and Tenley Stickel and Megan and Grant Smith; other relatives and friends.
