Elaine Walker

Elaine Walker, 64, of Hull died January 1, 2021 at Advanced Health and Rehab of Twiggs County in Jeffersonville, GA.  She was diagnosed with a malignant non-Hodgkins lymphoma of the brain in March 2019.

She was born May18, 1956 in Greensboro, Georgia to Elmer E. Walker and Catherine Dandelske Walker. She attended school in Morgan County and graduated in 1974 from Morgan County High School, continuing her education at the University of Georgia receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture.

She worked for Campbell Heat and Air in Madison and McDonald’s and K-Mart in Athens before her career with the United States Postal Service.  She retired in 2017 to help care for her ailing parents.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Town and Country Garden Club.  Her hobbies were plants and traveling anywhere with friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her siblings Teresa Walker of Madison Georgia, Laura Nuckolls of Auburn Georgia and Elmer “Gene” Walker Jr. of Auburn Georgia; and by nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.  No services are planned at this time.  McCommons Funeral Home in Greensboro is in charge of cremation.
