Effie Ella Channell Russell

Effie Ella Channell Russell, age 71, of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at her daughter''s home in Greensboro, GA. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born November 16, 1934 to Verma Ella Cook Channell Crane of Greensboro, GA and the late Herbert Thomas Channell. She graduated from Greensboro High School. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Russell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro.

She is survived by five daughters, Ramona Ross and husband Charles of Fremont, CA, Cathy Baggett and husband Frank of Union Point, GA, Laura Harcrow and husband Nippy of Covington, GA, Lynn Snipes and husband Danny of Greensboro, GA and Lacie Manning and husband David of St. Charles, IL; five grandchildren, Laurie Carter, Christopher Simons, Daniel Baggett, G. F. Baggett and Mason Manning; one great grandchild, Bryce Carter; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Channell and Samuel Thomas Channell. A  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Greensboro with Rev. Michael Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are David Snipes, Scott Channell, David Manning, Frank Baggett, Lanier Harcrow and Jeff Snipes.
