Ronald Douglas “Doug” Webb, a resident of the Veazey Community died Tuesday, July 26, 2023 at his mother’s home at the age of 57. Born November 23, 1965 in Greensboro he was the son of Barbara Jean Greenway Webb of Veazey and the late Larry Allen Webb. Doug graduated from Greene Taliaferro Comprehensive High School. At an early age he began working with his father who was in the logging business. Then he started his own business, Webb’s Bobcat Service, where he did grading and clearing and later worked for Plains Logging. He attended Grace Fellowship Church in Greensboro. He was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. He loved to play music and sing along. He knew all the words and could tell you the artist who performed it. Doug enjoyed fishing and sports of any kind.
In addition to his mother, Barbara G. Webb, of the Veazey Community; survivors include his sister, Laurie Rimes and husband Adrian of the Veazey Community; children, Brigitte Webb Moore (Tyler) and their daughter, Aubrey, and Zach Webb and Alissa Webb; and a number of other relatives and many friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Bella who has been his faithful companion and rode with him everywhere.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Long officiating.
