Donny Thomas Pritchard, Sr.

Donny Pritchard, 74, of Greensboro, GA, was called to his Heavenly home on Friday March 6, 2020.  Donny was born on Valentine’s Day, 1946, to John A. Pritchard and Louise Pritchard Pugh, both of Atlanta, GA. He married the love of his life Janet Leatherwood Pritchard, on June 4, 1971.  They were blessed in 1992 with a son, Donnie Pritchard, Jr., who was his best friend and fishing buddy.  He was the owner and operator of Pritchard Painting.  Donny loved to fish, hunt, camp, and watch Andy Griffith and did so until God called him home. 

He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Johnny, sisters; Pat, Brenda, Connie, and Barbara.  He is survived by his beloved wife Janet and son Donnie of Greensboro, GA; brothers, Mike Pritchard of Covington, GA and Randy (Susan) Pritchard of Monticello, GA; sister, Beverly McMichael of Covington, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donny’s wish to be cremated was granted by his family and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Farrett Boswell officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
