Deborah "Debbie" Arleen Benton

Deborah Arleen “Debbie” Deckner Benton, a resident of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 71 years old. Born on October 1, 1954, in Atlanta, GA, Debbie was the daughter of the late Charles Cobb Deckner and Margaret Amanda Blackshear Deckner. She received her education at Southwest Dekalb in Decatur, GA. On January 1, 2000, she married Charles Stone Benton, Sr. Debbie was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in cooking, gardening, and caring for her family. She was also a loving cat owner to Jagger and Paisley.

Debbie is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Charles Stone Benton, Sr. of Greensboro, GA; her daughter, Mary Ashly Lord of Carrollton, GA; and her son, Charles Stone Benton, Jr. of Sharpsburg, GA. She also leaves behind other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services in memory of Debbie will be announced at a future time.
