David Charles Hood

David Charles Hood of Greensboro, GA, died on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the age of 68. Born in Fort Worth, TX on August 20, 1955, he was the son of the late Richard Hood and Gladys Koegelheider Hood. He graduated from Santa Barbara High School in Santa Barbara, CA in 1974 and received his Bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in Rochester, MI in 1978. On May 27, 1978 he married the former Joanne Lee Rich in Warren, MI.  David was a mechanical engineer for Southern Company in Atlanta from June 1978 to November 2016.  David was a resident of Greensboro for the past four and a half years moving from Snellville, GA.  

In addition to his wife Joanne of Greensboro, GA, David is survived by his son Eric (Celeice) Hood of Canton, GA; brother, Thomas (Barb) Hood of Brookfield, WI; sister, Robin (Randy) Mitchell of Centennial, CO and two grandchildren, Aubrey and Brycen Hood.
