Daniel Paul Parker, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the age of 65 at home, surrounded by his family. Born on January 5, 1961, in Greensboro, GA, Paul, was known by many, lived his life with the best sense of humor. Paul was the son of the late Loyd Vernon Parker and Diane Gillen Parker. He attended bible study at Mercer University, after he became pastor of New Hope Baptist Church and later worked in retail spreading joy in ways only he could. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro.
Paul is survived by his son, James Daniel Parker; daughter-in-law, Leighalle L. Parker; grand kids, Landon L. Parker and Caitlynn E. Parker; other kids of his Dylan, Desi, Anna, and Melissa; sister, Teresa Parker Simpson; brother, Patrick Parker; and many other relatives and friends. He was also loved by his cousins, Hal and Johathan Akins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Steven Parker.
A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, located at 203 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. Reverend Mark Jones will officiate. Interment took place at Greenview Cemetery in Greensboro, where he was laid to rest alongside his parents. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
