Daniel Fredrick "Dan" Conley

Daniel Fredrick “Dan” Conley, 53, of Flowery Branch, Georgia died Saturday, August 17, 2002 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center of Gainesville. Born September 23, 1948 in Greene County, he was the son of David L. Conley of Siloam and the late Ina Mae Duvall Conley. He was a member of Siloam Methodist Church and graduated from Greene County High School in 1966. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Tech and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Augusta College. He lived in Flowery Branch since 1988 and was the Manager of Computer Information Systems for Mapics in Alpharetta, Georgia. In the past he had worked for Lane Limited, Peachtree Windows and Doors, Scientific Atlanta, Simmons Manufacturing and Talmadge Hospital of Augusta. He was a car enthusiast and loved to restore and rebuild antique cars. He is survived by his fiance’, Judy Thompson of Flowery Branch, Georgia; three sons, Doug Conley and wife Carrie of Gainesville, Georgia, Travis Conley and wife Stacie of Talmo, Georgia, and Stuart Conley of Flowery Branch, Georgia; his father David L. Conley and stepmother Dorothy Rainey Conley of Siloam, Georgia; a sister, Tina Marie Conley Grall and husband John of Cordele, Georgia; three grandchildren, Katie Conley, Taylor Conley, and Alley Conley; and four nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Siloam Methodist Church with Rev. Les Cowart and Rev. Landon Carey officiating. Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Randy James, Jamie Eley, Lamar Powell, Don Channell, Lewis “Peanut” O’Neal and Frank Finch. The family requests that memorials be made to the Siloam Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday night at the Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
