Corry Marion Copelan, III

Corry Marion Copelan, III, age 58, of the Greshamville Community, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Athens, Georgia. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born June 2, 1955, the son of Corry Marion "C. M." Copelan, Jr. and Eloise Malcom Copelan. He attended school in Greene and Morgan County. Corry was owner and operator of Corry Construction and Copelan Farms. He married Susan Ruark of Woodville on January 2, 1983. He was a member of Fork Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Greshamville Fire Department. The things he enjoyed most were helping others, doing construction work, fishing, hunting, wagon trains, motor cycle riding and especially being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Ruark Copelan of Greshamville; a daughter, Hannah Louise Copelan; a son C. M. Copelan; stepdaughter, Kim Beal Patterson; a sister, Judy Copelan Frost; two grandchildren, Charles Marion Copelan and Chloe Madison Copelan; step grandchild, Cody Patterson; a number of other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Gavin Gregory.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church, 1401 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650 with Rev. Guy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers are Dakota Ballard, Tim Sims, Jackie Copelan, Tim Duvall, Herbie Thurmond, Herbie Daniels and James Copelan. Wynn Copelan will serve as an honorary pallbearer.The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
