Clyde Howard Price

Clyde Howard Price of the Macedonia Community in Greene County passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her residence at the age of 86. Born  in Greensboro on May 18, 1931 she was the daughter of the late John Morris Howard and Flossie Christine Howard. She attended school in Penfield and graduated from Greensboro High School. On October 14, 1950 she married James Grady Price and at the time of his death they had been married 66 years.  They had three children, Weldon, Muriel and Tim.  Along with her husband, they owned and operated Price’s Poultry Farm.  She also worked at a plant nursery for awhile.  She was a loyal member of Macedonia Baptist Church.  Her favorite hobbies were gardening, working in her flowers, doing jigsaw puzzles and word find.

She was preceded n death by her husband, James Grady Price; oldest son, Weldon Price and siblings, Willie Mae Howard, Mozelle Maxey, Earl Howard, J. M. Howard and Thomas Clinton Howard; She is survived by a daughter, Muriel Price of Colbert, GA; son, Tim Price (Janie) of Macedonia, as well as one grandson, Carden Price of Macedonia; sister, Martha Jane Hussey of Sparta, GA. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, 2721 Macedonia Church Road with Rev. Joel Sorrow officiating.  Donations may b made to St. Mary’s Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604 in memory of Clyde Price. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
