Cindy Ramnath Short, age 67 of White Plains, GA passed away on April 12th, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 10, 1954 in Diamond Village, Trinidad & Tobago. She was the daughter of the late Adhar Ramnath and Zora Ramnath. Cindy was married to the late Larry Short Sr. for 22 years. They were married on December 20, 1998. Cindy did all her studies and schooling in the Caribbean until she decided at the age of 25 to start a new adventure and moved to Puerto Rico to live with her three brothers. After years of working doing secretarial jobs she moved to Florida where she met the love of her life. In 2008 when she retired they moved to White Plains, Ga where she continued her life with her husband and helping raise her two step children. Cindy attended Cornerstone Christian Church in Madison, GA as long as life and health permitted. She loved playing tennis, singing and cooking.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father and mother Adhar and Zora Ramnath, her husband Larry Short Sr., her brothers Ragbir Ramnath and Peter Ramnath and her sister Angeline Ramnath. She is survived by her brother James Ramnath, sisters Maralyn Ramnath, Sherry Ali Ramkhelawan and Celia Ramnath, sister in laws Angie Ramnath, Mary Ramnath and Norma Gutierrez, brother in laws Santos Lopez and Massimo Gentili, step son Larry Short Jr. (Brittany), step daughter Katherine Short Barcenas (Rolando), a daughter in law, numerous nieces and nephews, four grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
