Christopher Raymond Knight

Christopher Raymond “Chris” Knight of Union Point, GA passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his residence. He was 35. Chris was born in Greensboro, GA on December 13, 1988 to Raymond Edward Knight (Shonda) of Stephens, GA and Sharon Sellers Channell (Leighton) of Greensboro, GA.

Chris was a lifelong resident of Greene County and attended Greene County High School. His favorite things to do were fishing, hunting and finding unusual rocks.  He was employed as a machine operator for Jerico Plastics Industries, Inc. in Greensboro.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Channell and her husband Leighton and his father, Raymond Knight and his wife Shonda.  He is also survived by his sons, Justin and Jacob Knight, Union Point, GA; significant other, Tiffany Romero, Union Point, GA; sister, Candace Nation (Derrick) Greensboro, GA; grandfather, Jimmy Sellers, Eatonton, GA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

The family will hold a celebration of Chris’s life Friday, May 24, 2024 at the First Baptist Church, 203 South Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Jon Herrington and Rev. Mark Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at the church.  Inurnment will follow the service at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery, 2830 GA-15, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
